Late Friday night, October 10, Pensacola Christian College students excitedly gather in the Sports Center Arena, waiting with bated breath to officially meet the 2025–2026 Eagles teams. Promptly at 11 p.m., lights dimmed and the floor show began. Tony Wilson (So., Sport Management), Adrian Wilson (So., Biblical Counseling), and graduate assistant Alvin Chapman (Master of Divinity) took turns introducing players, announcing coaches, and hyping up the crowd. For this 2025–2026 season, coaches Jason Bell (men’s basketball), Jared Sellars (women’s basketball), Joseph Liwosz (men’s soccer), and Ryan Vanderboegh (women’s volleyball) will lead their teams and encourage hard work, sportsmanship, and Christian character.
In preparation for this exciting event, the Eagles Athletic Department arranged special chapel announcements, an Eagor scavenger hunt, and photo opportunities with team members and Eagor himself. They also arranged for several inflatables and Mr. Softee, an ice cream food truck, to be outside the Sports Center the night of Eagles Fan Fest. “I’m so excited for this season,” shared athletic director Mark Goetsch. “I can’t wait to see how our students show their Eagle Nation spirit!”
