“Five, four, three, two, one. Merry Christmas!”
The Pensacola Christian College campus came alive with Christmas lights as the audience cheered and the PCC Symphonic Band began playing a Christmas prelude. Thursday, November 20, Varsity Terrace and Main Drive filled with students, staff, faculty, and guests. Audience members enjoyed treats like apple cider, hot chocolate, popcorn, and pumpkin bread from the Common Grounds Concessions stand beside the Terrace.
This year, senior Davita Reynolds (FL) emceed the Christmas Lights Celebration, and Voices of PCC, Symphonic Choir, Ladies Chamber Ensemble, PCC Symphonic Band, and vocal ensembles performed for this event. Senior Coda Owens (FL) and graduate student Christian Vernon (NC) sang solos as well. Producer Susan Ward always enjoys watching the performers’ hard work pay off. “From early testing [for Christmas Lights] to setup, it takes multiple teams to bring this campus favorite to life,” she shared. “Seeing students, faculty, and staff use their talents to create this special evening is my greatest joy!”
