Jack Gellos, former PCC staff member, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 15. He was known for his dedication to the ministry of Pensacola Christian and his heart for students.
After marrying Margie, one of the first teachers at Pensacola Christian, he worked at WPCS radio station beginning at 1971, then worked in the cutting area of the Print Shop until retirement in 1996. At work, he had a lighthearted spirit that continually boosted morale in the work area. He demonstrated attention to detail in his work. Whether at work or walking through campus, he expressed care for others, even after losing his hearing. In the early years of Pensacola Christian College, it was his practice to learn the name of every student. He and his wife were extremely active campus parents and known for the joy they brought to others. Many alumni fondly recall the smiles he created wherever he went. Our prayers are with his son Mike and daughter Jackie and their families.
The funeral service will be held at Faith Chapel, 100 Beverly Parkway in Pensacola, on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends Tuesday beginning at 6 p.m. at Faith Chapel.
