Margie Gellos, former teacher and staff member, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 11. Margie served the ministry of Pensacola Christian College faithfully for over 50 years. Her journey of service began in 1954, as a first grade and kindergarten teacher for the beginning ministry of Pensacola Christian. Years later, she worked in the bulk mail assembly area, preparing materials to help Christian schools worldwide.
As the ministry grew, Margie’s outreach extended. She and her husband, Jack, became active campus parents and went out of their way to show kindness to PCC students. Margie officially retired in 1996 but continued to serve campus needs for another 15 years. Margie Gellos leaves a legacy that is defined by her servant’s heart and kind spirit. Many alumni, faculty, and staff treasure having known her. Our prayers are with her son Mike and daughter Jackie and their families.
The funeral service will be held at Faith Chapel, 100 Beverly Parkway, in Pensacola, on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5–7 p.m. at Faith Chapel.
