Dr. Nonnemacher went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 23, 2012. He was a vital part of the Seminary and College ministerial programs and a beloved teacher with a commitment to carefully handling Scripture.
Dr. and Mrs. Nonnemacher first joined PCC faculty/staff in 1990. Dr. Nonnemacher, who had pastored for many years, brought knowledge of God’s Word and a heart for the ministry that was of practical help to ministerial students. Students recognized and greatly appreciated his wisdom and encouragement. His preaching was a blessing to faculty, staff, and Campus Church. Dr. Nonnemacher was a dear friend and inspiration to many and will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with Mrs. Sylvia Nonnemacher and her children Charise, Abby, Karyn, and Bryan.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Faith Chapel, 100 Beverly Parkway in Pensacola. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Faith Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family has arranged for contributions in Dr. Nonnemacher’s honor to be accepted by the PCC Business Office to benefit seminary students.
