Pensacola Christian College students have many opportunities during their college careers, but perhaps some of the most important are the Health Professions Career Fair and the Educator Recruitment. These two events are specifically targeted at juniors and seniors, but all students are welcome. Both the career fair and recruitment are held in the MacKenzie Great Hall and boast employers and schools from all 50 states and several international countries.
Health Professions Career Fair

On January 29, 10 different companies set up displays in the Great Hall, ready to meet and possibly recruit students. This Career Fair focused on healthcare, and many nursing and pre-med students went, wanting to meet with the different companies’ representatives. Nursing students Abigail Kidd (Jr., NC) and Lauren Money (Sr., TX) both won stethoscopes from two of the visiting companies. “What stood out to me was the wide variety of organizations [that came],” shared Abigail. “It really opened my eyes to how many options exist in nursing and healthcare! It was a great experience and made me feel more open to exploring different opportunities in the future.”
Educator Recruitment

On February 23–24, principals and recruiters from 90 different schools gathered in the Great Hall to meet PCC students. Students were able to make connections with schools both in and outside of the United States. Master’s student Tiffany Rott appreciated the wide variety of schools that came to Educator Recruitment. “I’m finishing my master’s in speech education this semester,” she shared. “I truly believe the connections I made [at Educator Recruitment] were timely. While I didn’t get a job at a specific school, I am excited to be following up and continuing conversations I started that day.”
Because of both events, undergraduate and graduate students were able to make connections and see what opportunities are available to them after graduation. “I am honestly grateful that PCC arranges for this opportunity for its students to actually meet and get to know people from various schools around the world,” Tiffany said.
