PCC criminal justice major Eben Statt unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Eben was a thoughtful, passionate individual known for his strength of character, optimism, and sense of humor.
Eben’s quiet demeanor and kind spirit allowed him to spontaneously light up a room with his infectious laughter, quick wit, and sarcasm. His contemplative intellect allowed Eben to think deeply and logically about the most challenging situations. Yet the most definitive evidence of Eben’s character was that he never backed away from standing up for what he knew to be right.
With his independent streak came a passion for learning, whether reading books or studying hard for his classes. Eben put every ounce of effort into understanding the topic at hand. His loyalty toward his friends was undeniable; he was always quick to stand up for them or lend support when needed. Eben’s presence among the PCC community and his friends will be genuinely missed.
We extend our heartfelt prayers and sympathies to Eben’s brother, PCC faculty member Cooper Statt, and the entire Statt family. To offer additional comfort and support, you can drop off cards for the family at the Information Desk.
