Longtime staff member, Mr. Tim Tate, went home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2023. Tim graduated from PCC in 1993 and joined the ministry team, filling multiple service roles through the years. As a trusted leader, he became the Director of Campus Safety, a role he filled with distinction until 2018.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tim’s colleagues spoke of his willingness to lend an ear and offer wise counsel, for which they were greatly appreciative. One employee who was brought in to help him with a specific project spoke highly of Tim, saying, “I found that Tim helped me so much more than I ever helped him.”
In addition to his exceptional work at PCC, Tim also played an active part in his community by volunteering at the Campus Church and dedicating many hours to helping widows, the bereaved, and anyone who was hurting.
In 2016, Tim suffered a stroke and then retired from PCC in 2018, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, compassion, and love. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Cindy, their children, and the Tate family.
There will be a visitation at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, followed by a service at 3 p.m. in the Mullenix Chapel.
