Mr. David Lunsford went home to be with the Lord early this morning, Tuesday, August 23, 2022. He was known for his great sense of humor, but above all, will be remembered for his caring and passionate spirit.
Mr. Lunsford was an alumnus of Pensacola Christian College and began teaching for the College in 2012. In 2015, he became the Director of Advertising and Marketing before transitioning to Abeka in 2019 as the Inside Sales Manager. No matter where he served, he was willing to go the extra mile for others putting his whole heart and effort towards seeing those around him succeed. He inspired excellence and took vested interest in the lives of his team. His coworker shared, “He believed in us, saw our potential, and knew how to draw out that potential.” It was not uncommon to hear him share his knowledge and experience from his past. He will be fondly remembered for many encouraging words including, “No matter what you’re doing, be all there.”
Mr. Lunsford was a friend and mentor to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. PCC students, faculty, and staff extend their prayers and love to the Lunsford family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Mullenix Chapel at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.
