Jadon Goins, freshman pastoral ministries major, unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Jadon had an immense love for Jesus and a passion for serving others. His life was shaped by his upbringing in Honduras, where his parents Matt and Dallita Goins, ’00 PCC graduates, have faithfully served as missionaries since 2002.
When not on the mission field, Jadon actively served in the children’s ministry and the greeting team at his sending church, which helped confirm his call to ministry and preparation at PCC. As a student, he was immersed in collegian life, playing several collegian sports for the Vikings. He also participated in Men’s and Harvesters Door-to-Door and Seville Square Christian Service groups; this summer he was looking forward to serving as a camp counselor at Teen Extreme.
Though we may never fully understand why this happened, we take comfort in knowing that Jadon is now with his Lord and Savior. PCC students, faculty, and staff extend their prayers and love to his parents, as well as his two brothers Joash (PCC sophomore) and Justus and the entire Goins family. May God strengthen them during this difficult time, reminding them of His love through their sorrow.
Funeral arrangements will be announced through Faith Chapel. A memorial service will also be held on campus Monday evening at 7 PM.
